UVID Information

Loyola’s Universal ID (UVID) is the primary means of authentication and identification throughout the University. Although the UVID is used to logon to most applications and resources at Loyola, its use can vary for Health Sciences users. Specific details regarding the UVID at Loyola are listed below.

University Faculty, Staff, and Students

For University faculty, staff, and students, the UVID provides access to most of Loyola’s resources. This includes, but not limited to, LOCUS, Sakai, Microsoft Outlook email, Lawson, Kronos, campus wireless access and campus networked computers.

UVID provisioning is automated for all faculty, staff, and students at Loyola.

University Faculty, Staff, and Students in Health Sciences (HSC)

For HSC faculty, staff, and students, the UVID provides access to Loyola Wired, Lawson, Kronos and University resources (such as LOCUS, Sakai, and campus wireless access). For HSC Faculty, Staff and Students with an luc.edu e-mail address, the UVID also provides access to Microsoft Outlook e-mail. UVID provisioning is automated for HSC. However, access to additional resources such as EPIC and LUMC workstations needs to be requested through LUHS.

School of Nursing Faculty, Staff, and Students

For the School of Nursing faculty, staff, and students, the UVID functions identically to the University. This includes access to, LOCUS, Sakai, Microsoft Outlook email, Lawson, Kronos, campus wireless access and campus networked computers. UVID provisioning is automated for all faculty, staff, and students in the School of Nursing.
