Innovative Online Learning

Complementing the substantive learning of the classroom experience, the Weekend JD program will provide additional instruction for core courses through distance learning. Additionally, you will have the option to select from a variety of fully online courses after completing the required curriculum. With seven extraordinary online degree programs, Loyola is the leading law school in the country for online legal education.

All online course components are offered through Sakai, a highly interactive, collaborative online learning environment. Each course at Loyola is divided into learning modules. You will work through all courses simultaneously on a suggested study pace. The curriculum is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, giving you the ability to schedule your studies at a time and place convenient to you. Each course module may contain any or all of these content delivery methods:

  • reading assignments
  • audio or video lectures
  • formative assessments
  • bulletin board assignments
  • writing assignments
