Crime Alert - Burglary Reported in Lewis Towers

Loyola Community,

Campus Safety is writing to notify you about a burglary that occurred to an office in Lewis Towers over the holiday weekend and was reported earlier today.

An unknown offender forced access into a locked office and stole electronic items. It is believed that the offender also broke a window of another door to attempt entry into a second office but failed. The Chicago Police Department is currently investigating.

Please keep the following safety tips in mind:

  • Immediately report suspicious activity or incidents to Campus Safety by calling 773.508.SAFE.
  • When leaving your office, even for a short time, be sure to lock the door.
  • Secure all valuables in drawers or cabinets that can be locked and keep the key with you.
  • Record the descriptions and serial numbers for electronic devices and save the list in an easily referenced place.
