Campus Safety

Crime Alerts

Crime Alerts are notifications Campus Safety is required to distribute under the Clery Act. These alerts distributed to all Loyola e-mail addresses at any time of day or night. Crime Alerts are logged below and shared on Campus Safety‚Äôs Twitter account (@LUCCampusSafety).

Crime Alerts are only sent for crimes that occur on Clery-reportable geography (on campus property or on public property immediately adjacent to campus property). Loyola has also expanded this geography to include any gun or sex crimes against a Loyola student that are considered to be an ongoing threat and occur within Campus Safety's patrol boundaries.

Due to a reduced number of students, faculty, and staff on campus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, no incidents occurred that necessitated a Crime Alert in 2020.
