Dear Loyola Community,

Campus Safety is writing to inform you of a shooting that occurred near the near the Water Tower Campus late Thursday evening. There is no known Loyola University Chicago affiliation at this time.
 
At approximately 10:41 p.m., multiple people were shot outside of the McDonald’s restaurant located near the intersection of Chicago Avenue and State Street. The Chicago Police Department is investigating the incident.

Safety Tips

• If you see something you believe to be suspicious, immediately report it to Campus Safety at 773.508.SAFE or the Chicago Police Department at 911.
  
  
• If a person threatens you, follow any demands and run away as soon as it is safe to do so. Once in a safe place, immediately notify Campus Safety at 773-508-SAFE or the Chicago Police Department at 911.
