Student Development Fee

Student Development Fee for Undergraduate Students

The Student Development Fee, also known as the Student Development Services and Program Fee, is charged during the Fall and Spring semesters to all undergraduates. This fee funds the following services and programs: the Wellness Center, Halas Recreation Center membership*, 8-RIDE service, and partially the shuttle bus service. This fee also allows undergraduate students free access to athletic events. A portion of the fee is given back to students in the form of funding for clubs and organizations. In addition, the fee funds several large-scale events organized by students and administrators. Welcome Week, Finals Breakfast, Block Party, and diversity programs are just a few of the events and programs funded by this fee.

The amount of the fee depends on the number of credit hours in which students are enrolled. *Only full-time students receive a free membership.

The Student Development Fee is also charged during the summer to all enrolled undergraduate students. It provides students with free access to services at the Wellness Center and Halas Recreation Center during the summer semester.

Students who are not enrolled during the summer may access Wellness Center services by signing up for an optional enrollment.  To sign up click here.  Students  can also access Campus Recreation services by purchasing a summer membership. For more information click here.

Student Development Fee for Adult, Graduate and Professional Students*

 *ABSN students included in this category.

The Student Development Fee is charged during the Fall and Spring semesters to all graduate students. This fee funds the following services and programs: Wellness Services at the respective campus, the 8-RIDE service, and partially the shuttle bus service. A portion of the fee goes to the school in which the student is enrolled to support various student activities. Additionally, the fee helps fund several large-scale events organized by the Office of Graduate, Professional, and Adult Student Life. The fee amount depends on the number of credit hours in which students are enrolled.

Graduate students enrolled in hybrid/blended** programs are charged a fee that supports events in their respective school. These students can access wellness services by signing up for an optional enrollment . Wellness Center Optional Enrollment

Graduate students enrolled in online** programs are not charged the Student Development Fee. However, they can gain access to Wellness Center services by signing up for an optional enrollment. Wellness Center Optional Enrollment
