MFA for LOCUS
Introducing Multi-Factor Authentication for LOCUS
July 2025
We’re excited to announce the launch of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for LOCUS, starting July 27th, 2025. This initiative is part of our broader effort to strengthen security and streamline privileged access management across the organization.
What to Expect
Before logging into LOCUS, you’ll be taken to a landing page. On that page, click Login to LOCUS to proceed to the login screen. Afterward, enter your username and password as usual, then you will be be prompted to verify your identity with a second factor.
Why Multi-Factor Authentication
This important update is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the security of your personal and institutional data.
Implementing MFA helps:
- Protect sensitive data – like payroll, benefits, and student records
- Prevent unauthorized access – even if your password is compromised
- Comply with security standards, including institutional and regulatory policies
- Reduce risk of phishing attacks and identity theft
