    David Kasher is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who joined the Loyola Wellness Center in January 2024. He earned his undergraduate degree in Theology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and his graduate degree in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He has enjoyed a wide array of professional experiences including a crisis hotline, community mental health, residential treatment, and serving as a therapist for a large group practice. Since 2015, he has provided support and mental health treatment to college/university students in various capacities. While he has grown from all his work experiences, college/university populations have proven to be the most rewarding for him. David’s areas of interest include adjustment issues, anxiety and depression, the LGBTQ+ community, grief/loss, self-compassion, and interpersonal struggles. In his spare time, he enjoys long walks in his neighborhood, practicing yoga, cuddling with his dog, and trying new slow-cooker recipes.
