Badia Ahad, Ph.D.

Badia Ahad serves as the lead administrator on faculty matters including creating new policies and procedures to support faculty, with an eye towards equity, inclusion and access; overseeing promotion, tenure and review processes; new faculty orientation, mentoring, and faculty development programs; initiatives to recruit and retain underrepresented faculty; and sabbaticals and faculty awards. The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs works with academic leaders across campus under the One Loyola model to enhance LUC’s efforts to support faculty from recruitment to retirement.

Anne Reuland, MS

Anne Reuland supports all operational functions and strategic initiatives within Faculty Affairs as they relate to the faculty career progression; oversees all administrative processes relative to faculty affairs including onboarding and contracts; serves as primary resource regarding School- and University policies pertaining to faculty; supports the implementation of institution-wide initiatives and administrative policies related to faculty.

Michelle Pencyla supports all operational functions and strategic initiatives within Faculty Affairs as they relate to the faculty career progression; oversees all administrative processes relative to faculty affairs including onboarding and contracts; implements and evaluates changes in processes designed to enhance faculty support services.

Shonda Smith

Shonda Smith

Shonda Smith is a Faculty Administration specialist overseeing the administrative management related to faculty contracts, reappointments, and financial expenditures. Shonda manages FIS modules providing access and training to administrative faculty and support staff, and serves as a liaison between Academic Affairs, Human Resources, Payroll services, school administrators and faculty members.

Magdalena Cabral

Magdalena Cabral is a coordinator in Faculty Administration managing the onboarding, rank approval, promotion processes and transitions of faculty at Lakeshore and Water Tower campuses throughout their tenure at LUC. Magdalena manages and coordinates the workflow of faculty appointments/contracts, leaves, promotion and tenure, faculty development review, faculty recruitment/appointment, and faculty orientation, and serves as primary liaison between the office of Human Resources, department administrators and faculty members.

Lurdes Llapa

Lurdes Llapa is a data coordinator in Faculty Administration at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC). Lurdes manages faculty data entry, processes faculty-related salary information and Personal Actions Forms for MNSON, SSOM, and Parkinson school, assists with contract renewals, supports departments during the faculty evaluation process, identifies and resolves faculty data issues within University data systems, compiles and analyzes data; prepares reports.

Iris Colon serves as the primary front office contact providing prompt and seamless responses to inquiries by members of the University community.
