BLSA Board Member Bios
Kenneth Little (2L) – President
Kenneth was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his BBA in finance from Howard University. Following law school, Kenneth plans to represent professional athletes by serving their best interests in an honest, fiduciary capacity. He’s also interested in assisting low income communities through education, particularly in Milwaukee. Prior to law school, Kenneth worked at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and the Mortgage Bankers Association. He is currently working as a legal intern for Intersport, a sports and entertainment media and marketing firm.
Advice to new students:
Be humble, work extremely hard, and leverage your network.
Carrera Thibodeaux (2L) – Vice President
Carrera is from Memphis, TN, where she attended The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and graduated with a BA in political science. Prior to entering law school, she worked for First Horizon National Bank for two years where she handled accounts before they entered the bankruptcy, foreclosure, and short sale departments. Carrera is interested in corporate transactions, real estate, international law, and after her first year oral argument assignment, litigation. In her free time, she enjoys advanced yoga, cooking, trying new experiences, and chocolate. She hopes to skydive in the near future.
Advice to new students:
Don’t reinvent the wheel. The work has been done; find out what works best for you when it comes to retaining information. Network just as hard as you study because it will be helpful in your job search.
Alison Hill (2L) – Secretary
Alison is a 2L is from South Barrington, Illinois. She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a BA in criminal justice and sociology. Alison has a passion for criminal justice reform on a global scale. She spent the summer of 2012 living in London and working on a criminological study of a coastal town in southeastern UK. Following law school, she plan to work in the public interest law. Alison spent her 1L summer working as a legal intern for the Office of the Governor. During her free time she watches too many crime shows, travels, and dabbles in perfumery.
Advice to new students:
Don’t be afraid to ask for help, ask early and ask often. You’re not alone–someone else is probably worried about the same things as you.
Louis-Raymond Gomes (2L) – Treasurer
Louis was born and raised in Paris, France. He attended Loyola University Chicago and graduated in 2014 with a BA degree in international business. He loves traveling and discovering new cultures. He studied abroad in China, Spain, Canada, and speaks French, English, Spanish, Chinese, and Lingala. Louis plans to practice international law and commercial arbitration. Following his first year of law school, he worked as a summer associate in Sheppard Mullin’s Beijing office. His favorite part of his first year was meeting amazing range of people and attending networking events. Feel free to approach him, you will likely find him laughing somewhere in the hallways. Yes, law school is that fun!

Stay on top of your work, do not procrastinate, and make an effort to write weekly summaries.
