Student Government of Loyola Chicago

Environmental and Social Responsibility (ESR) Pledge Resolution

The SGLC, in partnership with the School of Environmental Sustainability and the Commencement Planning Committee established the ESR Pledge, a tradition during Loyola University’s Commencement Ceremonies that provides an opportunity for students to pledge to uphold and advocate for the values of environmental and social responsibility in their career choices as part of their graduation ceremony. The entire Senate has co-sponsored the ESR Pledge Resolution.

ESR is designed to establish a tradition during commencement ceremonies that provide students an opportunity to pledge, uphold, and advocate for the values of environmental and social responsibility in their career and life after Loyola. We are excited to work with commencement planning staff to see how the legislation evolves!
