STUDENT COMMENTS
•••
“He answered people’s questions not only about the course, but also facilitates opportunities for people to ask questions about the internships and mental health professions more general. He was great at providing feedback on our assignments, and I heard classmates say the same. I appreciate the time he took to give detailed and constructive feedback.”
•••
This instructor “does an admirable job balancing the teaching of foundational material with the teaching of new or developing perspectives. He likewise effectively balances time in class devoted to lecture with time devoted to discussion, academic excellence with pastoral reflection, and professionalism with care for his students. Thank you!”

“I wish everyone could have the experience of getting a paper graded by her. She invests her whole self into seeking to understand what I'm saying. She is conversational in her feedback and offers her own insights and vulnerability. Reading through her comments on the last paper she graded for me I wept. She is a brilliant professor, but also a deeply compassionate, human, thoughtful teacher. I am a different person because of her.”
•••
“Even though the learning objectives were listed on the syllabus, I didn't realize how much I would learn about myself and my leadership style until I completed all of the actual, hands-on, real-life projects. It wasn't all just reading and theory. I actually had to DO something… I loved it!”
•••
The instructor “organized the material so well to provide an overview of many of the considerations of beginning to practice [ministry]. I especially appreciated the opportunity to have time devoted each session to actually begin practicing the skills being presented. The readings for the class were rich and so informative. I found myself applying many of the things I was reading and learning to my own personal prayer life to great benefit. She is a terrific instructor whose passion for this subject is so apparent.”
