Dr. Timone Davis accepts position as Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology

IPS is pleased to announce that Dr. Timone Davis has accepted the position of Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology, with an emphasis in Black Catholic Theology. Dr. Davis will bring tremendous expertise and experience to her new role. She has been an instructor at IPS first as an adjunct, then as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She was also the Associate Director and an Instructor at the Institute for Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University of Louisiana. For nearly ten years she was the Coordinator of Reclaiming Christ in Life (ReCiL) at the Archdiocese of Chicago. She is a beloved teacher and an engaging story-teller, which was the focus of her Doctor of Ministry degree at Catholic Theological Union, “My Story-Your Story: African-American Storytelling as a Method of Catechesis for Catholic Young Adults.” Dr. Davis is also a popular speaker at several national conferences each year. We are proud to welcome her to this tenure track position at the Institute of Pastoral Studies.
