2024 Open Enrollment

To enroll in your 2024 Loyola University Chicago benefits, login to Employee Self-Service during the open enrollment period: November 1 – November 15, 2023. All changes made during this time period will be effective January 1, 2024.

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to enroll and make changes to your benefit choices, including elections for Flexible Spending Accounts.  Outside of Open Enrollment, changes can only be made to your elections if you or a family member experiences an IRS Qualifying Event.

You can review your current benefits by accessing Employee Self-Service (ESS).

Benefit Information Sessions

Human Resources will host three Benefit Information Session Webinars this fall. These sessions will be your opportunity to learn about our benefit offerings, upcoming benefit changes and ask benefits-related questions. 

Information Session Dates

Faculty and Staff are required to register for each information session they wish to attend.  We will post a recorded session to this webpage in late October. Questions can be sent to benefits@luc.edu or 312-915-6175.

On-Campus Wellness Screenings & Flu Shots

Mark your calendars! Empower Health will be on site at our Lakeshore, Water Tower and Health Sciences campuses to administer wellness screenings and flu shots. Registration for on or off campus LabCorp screenings will be available at in September. You must register through the Empower Health Portal. Registration for both on and off-campus dates is now open. You will have the option of selecting an On-Site event, Individual Program if you wish to go off campus for your screening or you can have your healthcare provider complete the Health Provider Form. Those who select to have their screenings off-campus must register with Empower Health by 11.30.2023 and you must complete your lab visit by 12.1.2023.

***New this year, faculty/staff and their spouse/lda enrolled in the Loyola Health Insurance plan are no longer required to participate in the annual wellness screening requirement. However, we encourage our faculty and staff to continue to stay engaged in their health by obtaining an annual wellness screening and physical each year.

2023 Empower Health Screening Package Includes

  • Panel C -37 Component blood chemistry profile
  • Blood Pressure and Body Mass Index Reading
  • Flu-Shot: Quadrivalent vaccine which includes 2 type -A strains
    and 2 type - B strains.
  • Optional Addtional Test: Prostate Specific Antigen, Thyroid- Stimulating Hormone, and Vitamin D.

*Screenings and additional test are covered at no cost to benefit eligible Faculty and Staff who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in one of Loyola Health Insurance Plans. Those not enrolled can self pay for the screenings and any addtional test.
