Final Grade Deadline

Fall and spring semester: grades for graduating students are due two weeks after the last day of finals.  All other grades are due four weeks after the last day of finals.

Summer semester: all grades are due approximately one week before the start of the fall term.

Grade Distribution (Curve)

The grade curve applies to all courses with an enrollment of 25 or more students, with the exception of Perspective Elective, Trial Practice I, Trial Practice II, ChildLaw Trial Practice, and the various clinics.

In courses with over 25 J.D. students and 25% or more Graduate Legal Studies (GLS) students, the curve will be applied to the J.D. students only. In courses with over 25 J.D. students and less than 25% GLS students, the curve will be applied to the entire class. This curve will not apply to classes with GLS students only.

Any deviations from the curve in courses with an enrollment of 25 or more students require a written explanation to the Associate Academic Dean prior to the time grades are submitted. Grades should not be entered until approval is received.
