Apporto

Loyola University Chicago is now offering Apporto, a virtual desktop service with the ability to run specialized instructional/classroom software within an internet browser.

To access Apporto, go to: https://luc.apporto.com/ and login using your Loyola UVID/username and password.

Some of the key features of Apporto are:

  • Apporto is operating system agnostic. It only requires an HTML5 compliant web browser (e.g. Firefox, Edge, Chrome or Safari) and you can access the virtual lab from any computer right inside the browser.
  • Apporto opens virtualized instances of only the software you want to use. If you want to run Matlab for example, you just click on Matlab and it opens that software in a virtual container, directly in your browser.
  • Apporto enables you to save files or data under your login credentials so you can use that data across applications or come back to it later.

For a guide to using Apporto, please go to: https://www.apporto.com/helpcenter
