REDCap

REDCap is a web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. The application is managed by the ITS Informatics and Clinical Research group.

LUC supports two instances of REDCap:

  • an internal instance in which can be accessed on an LUC campus (LSC, WTC, HSC) via the LUC network or via Loyola Secure Access VPN off campus. external in which surveys and related instruments can be accessed anywhere the user has an internet connection; and
  • an external instance which can be accessed outside of the LUC network.

REDCap is available to faculty and their research teams.

If you are collecting or using protected health information (PHI) in your online research project, you should be using REDCap for data collection. Qualtrics is not approved for the collection of PHI.

Please refer to the Research Computing Services (RCS) REDCap page for more detailed information about access to each instance of REDCap.
