Option 1: Authenticator App Pop-Up

  1. Navigate to the MFA preferences page and log in
  2. At the "Additional security verification" page, select Use verification code from app or token from the first dropdown
  3. Check the Authenticator app or Token checkbox
  4. Click Set up Authenticator app
  5. The “Configure mobile app” screen will appear with instructions and a QR code. On your mobile phone, download the Microsoft Authenticator app
  6. On your mobile device, Open the Microsoft Authenticator and tap Add Account
  7. Tap Work or school account
  8. Tap Allow when the app asks for access to your camera
  9. In the app, scan the QR code to add your account
  10. If the app displays a six-digit code, click Next on the “Configure mobile app” screen
  11. You will be prompted to verify the sign-in on your mobile device
  12. Click Save on the “Additional security verification” page to save these settings
  13. In your phone settings be sure to enable notifications for the app
